Altaf & Bilal Chapri's undiminished enthusiasm, for all aspects of travel and exploring, makes Discovery Journeys stand apart from our competitors. For more than 10 years, the young Directors have taken every opportunity to discover and plan new itineraries; they have researched and reconnoitred many regions and have been on almost all tours on offer on the company's various brochures. Besides this, they have been actively involved in sales and marketing, and all levels of operation of the company, and together with the Discovery Journeys team they add their special family touch to all tours, which has welcomed visitors for over a century, to this colourful mosaic we know as India!

M. Yousuf Chapri, veteran explorer, environmentalist, social worker is paterfamilias and chairman of Discovery Journeys: an encouraging influence on all, with his infinite experience and knowledge in the field of adventure travel.	Dean Chapri (Director Operations), has 20 years of travel experience and has led many tours and treks throughout India. He supervises all operations in Ladakh, and when not in Ladakh, Dean leads tours through Rajasthan and South India. He remains a keen outdoor enthusiast.

J.S. Joseph - Tour Manager. Born in Kerala, Joseph has great knowledge of South India and on Indian in general. After working for more than 8 years with Air-India as flight handling Manger, Joseph joined Discovery Journeys six years ago, to explore more.

Accounts Section. The most important department: the accounts department is headed by Vinod Kumar. Vinod has 12 years of working experience, and has been with us for about 9 years now.

Tour Guides & Escorts. Hemraj Meena ( Naturalist) Born near Ranthambore National park in 1974, Hemraj has been the recipient of the Best Trekkers award by the Ranthambore Forest department, and the Best Birdwatcher Award by Rajasthan Tourism in 1997; and has been also assisting forest departments, in the annual census of Tigers. He has led and guided many of our groups through central and south India: a keen photographer who has great love for animals.

A. Rashid - Mountain Guide. An experienced mountain guide, trained at one of the leading mountaineering institutes in India - the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) at Uttarkashi. Rashid has led and climbed several peaks in Ladakh including Stok Kangri, Menthok Kangri, Kang Yatze, Nun (Zanskar); and is now girding up for Discovery's expeditions in the Garhwal and Sikkim region. Born in Ladakh, Rashid joined our team 8 years ago, and now leads several treks and expeditions for Discovery Journeys, and puts in valuable time at the office when not on field.

Rahul Sharma - Discovery's Tiger Guru Discovery's Tiger Guru, Rahul has spent many years exploring the jungles of the Himalayan foothills and has great knowledge of its wildlife, especially the Royal Bengal Tiger; and also of the legendary Jim Corbett. His tryst with Corbett lore began at a very tender age and has won the prestigious Jim Corbett Memorial Essay Writing Competition, while still at school. For Discovery Journeys he has led several tours and treks throughout North India. His hobbies include bird watching and wildlife photography. Rahul is a member of WWF-India, Bombay Natural History Society and Oriental Bird Club.
